Paradise Lost Nature Park

Kenya

A unique nature park in Kiambu featuring ancient lava caves, a man-made lake and waterfall, and a range of family-friendly outdoor activities.

Paradise Lost is a privately-run nature park in Kiambu, about 30 kilometres from Nairobi, built around a striking set of ancient lava caves formed by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, complete with an underground stream still flowing through them. Above ground, a man-made lake and waterfall anchor a park of forest trails, picnic lawns, a small crocodile farm, and activity stations including camel and horse riding and a zip-line across the gorge. The mix of natural geology and family-friendly activity makes it a popular half-day or full-day outing for groups, school trips, and families with children.
